JAKKO LIBREROS

Music  Link: https://youtu.be/_kdeMb-TqDU

Jakko is a jazz pianist who graduated from EAFIT University (Medellín, Colombia) and is both a performer and composer. Jakko has an extensive discography that explore genres ranging from jazz, Latin American folklore, rock to electronic experimentation, sound art, and soundscapes. Their musical career has allowed them to perform on major stages and at festivals throughout the country and internationally. Jakko has received prizes and national grants for composition and sound study research.

Jakko has been a particularly important contributor to the progress of the music for These Days. From the moment Jakko began working with the production team, it was clear that the final score for These Days would include their contributions. Mark Collins, Producer and Playwright for These Days, has commented: “Jakko’s contributions to the world’s music library needs to be recognized and heard by many people. I have personally sat and listened to their compositions repeatedly, enjoying the nuanced rhythm and melody that is not easily found or reproduced.”

The link below provides Jakko's compositional version of Collins’ song “I’m Looking Forward”. This is not the version that will be heard for the first production run of the musical … instead, an alternate version Jakko has provided will be used. The attachment to the web site, though, helps people hear the style and professionalism that Jakko brings to the music.

Thank you, Jakko, for your contributions!
